The Maze Runner is an action and fast-moving book which was written in 2009 by an American writer called James Dashner. As soon as you start reading it, you will notice how amazing and intriguing the story is.
The plot is about a group of teenagers that have to escape from an enormous maze. The main character is a clever and stunning teenager who is also brave and fit. One day, he wakes up in a mysterious place which is in the middle of a maze and he doesn’t remember anything. Every month, someone new arrives but they don’t remember where they come from. The giant maze is a very unpredictable place because during the day it’s open but when the dark night comes, the big doors close and strange and awful creatures suddenly appear between those grey and high walls. Will they escape from the maze?
In my opinion, this page-turner is a really thrilling book because you never know what is going to happen next, or maybe yes… However, it is also a thought-provoking story because the action takes place in the distant future, so you can imagine what the world will be like, and it isn’t the typical clichéd story, that’s why I love it.
All things considered, I especially recommend this book to young people because most of the characters are teenagers and I think they will enjoy the story. I also recommend it to people in good health because this amazing book is extremely fast-moving.
